“Better science reporting workshop”

Saturday-Thursday, October 4-9

Organizer: WRENMedia

Using this important event as a resource, WRENMedia held a Better Science Reporting Workshop to provide selected radio and print journalists from Africa with an opportunity to improve their understanding of science for development. Click here to download the flyer. It included sessions on content-gathering, photography, news and feature writing, as well as digital editing. Intense and productive, during the conference, the media team worked together as a production house to produce print, radio and online reporting on banana science as well as individual pieces for their own reader/listeners. WRENmedia also ran the “Media Evening”: an open evening event for researchers to get some practical tips and inspiration on making the most of the media to communicate their messages.
